چکیده

We develop tools for investigation of input-to-state stability (ISS) of infinite-dimensional control systems. We show that for certain classes of admissible inputs the existence of an ISS-Lyapunov function implies the inputto-state stability of a system. Then for the case of the systems described by abstract equations in Banach spaces we develop two methods of construction of local and global ISS-Lyapunov functions. We prove a linearization principle that allows a construction of a local ISS-Lyapunov function for a system which linear approximation is ISS. In order to study interconnections of nonlinear infinite-dimensional systems, we generalize the small-gain theorem to the case of infinite-dimensional systems and provide the way to construct an ISS-Lyapunov function for an entire interconnection, if a ISS-Lyapunov functions for subsystems are known and the small-gain condition is satisfied. We illustrate theory on examples of linear and semilinear reaction-diffusion equations.

Robust stabilization of a class of three-dimensional uncertain fractional-order non-autonomous systems

This paper concerns the problem of robust stabilization of uncertain fractional-order non-autonomous systems. In this regard, a single input active control approach is proposed for control and stabilization of three-dimensional uncertain fractional-order systems. The robust controller is designed on the basis of fractional Lyapunov stability theory. Furthermore, the effects of model uncertai...

Global converse Lyapunov theorems for infinite-dimensional systems

We show that existence of a non-coercive Lyapunov function is sufficient for uniform global asymptotic stability (UGAS) of infinite-dimensional systems with external disturbances provided an additional mild assumption is fulfilled. For UGAS infinite-dimensional systems with external disturbances we derive a novel ’integral’ construction of non-coercive Lipschitz continuous Lyapunov functions. F...

The Circle Criterion and Input-to-State Stability for Infinite-Dimensional Systems∗

In this paper, the focus is on absolute stability and input-to-state stability of the feedback interconnection of an infinite-dimensional linear system Σ and a nonlinearity Φ : dom(Φ) ⊂ Lloc(R+, Y ) → L 2 loc(R+, U), where dom(Φ) denotes the domain of Φ and U and Y (Hilbert spaces) denote the input and output spaces of Σ, respectively (see Figure 1, wherein v is an essentially bounded input sig...

Fuzzy Lyapunov stability and exponential stability in control ‎systems‎

Fuzzy control systems have had various applications in a wide range of science and engineering in recent years. Since an unstable control system is typically useless and potentially dangerous, stability is the most important requirement for any control system (including fuzzy control system). Conceptually, there are two types of stability for control systems: Lyapunov stability (a special case ...

Nonrobustness of closed-loop stability for infinite-dimensional systems under sample and hold

It is a well-known principle, for finite-dimensional systems, that applying sampled-and-hold in the feedback loop around a stabilizing state feedback (or dynamic) controller results in a stable sampled-data feedback control system if the sampling period is small enough. The principle extends to infinite-dimensional systems with compact state feedback if either the input operator is bounded or t...
